Commonly seen with the personal nick shinehigh; productions are also branded hycreates since 2015.

I am a college student training to become a dentist (yes, really).

I shoot on a Nikon D7100. My kit is rather simple, and I rely on quite a number of third party products because, as long as they do their job, who cares about the brand?

I enjoy taking landscape and candid shots. I do events photography as well. I also produce videos, including both videography and post-production. Camera stuff aside, I have carried out several projects in digital graphic design and website design. My design style: mainly minimalism and typography.

It's not hard to guess that I am a Nikon fan (who is not very pleased Canon is eating up all the market share). But I admit that Canon may be a better choice for videography (though Nikon is catching up), and I hope to try that out someday. I also wish to own a Fujifilm X100T or a Coolpix A as a lightweight backup.

I love music, especially choral singing and a cappella, both of which I am now involved in. Music is my soul.

Besides this blog, you can also look out for me on FlickrGoogle+, Twitter (@hyphotog) and Instagram (@shinehigh). I can also be reached via email at .

I do not watermark my photographs (unless there are people in them, or they are from an assignment) as I feel that good things should be freely shared. But if you do use my photographs, I would really appreciate it if you could kindly credit me. You could also drop me a message below to tell me about it and perhaps give me a URL, so I can take a look at how you use my work. You can also comment or contact me via Flickr, G+ or email to obtain the original higher resolution images; I would gladly share them with you. Please inform me though if you are going to use my works for commercial purposes.
